This 4 hour course covers both the theory and practical performance of pre and post trip inspections. With safety requirements more stringent than ever before, it is critically important that all professional drivers understand how to properly perform these inspections. Topics covered include: components and their functions, inspection criteria, actions to take when components fail or are suspect, and documentation requirements. Participants will watch a proper pre and post trip being performed, and will conduct a practical pre and post trip inspection under the guidance of the instructor.

This programs teaches drivers how to ensure that their brake systems are operating properly, how to adjust manual brake slack adjusters, and how to ensure that automatic slack adjusters are working properly. |
